Air India flight returns to Kolkata without landing

Kathmandu. Air India’s Airbus flight returned to Kolkata after it failed to land at Tribhuvan International Airport. According to Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), the flight number AI215 did not land due to bad weather.

The plane took off from New Delhi’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at 4:39 am on Tuesday but could not land on the runway due to bad weather and diverted to Kolkata International Airport at 6:11 am.

The Kathmandu Valley has been engulfed in fog from the sky to the ground due to air pollution for the past few days. According to the International Institute for Air Pollution Measurement, Kathmandu’s air pollution level was the highest in the world on Monday.
