Kathmandu. Surya Jyoti Life Insurance Company has concluded its 18th Annual General Meeting (AGM) at Hotel Harrison Palace, Biratnagar.
The AGM was chaired by Keshav Prasad Bhattarai, chairman of the company’s Board of Directors. The meeting was attended by the company’s directors, CEO, deputy CEO, management officials, shareholders and other guests.
The meeting approved the company’s last fiscal year 2081. 82 Annual Report, Auditor’s Report, Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss Account, Statement of Cash Flow and related schedules were discussed and endorsed unanimously. The AGM has also approved the proposed 13 percent cash dividend for the last fiscal year.
In addition, the meeting also approved the company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) for the fiscal year 2081. Approved the expenditures incurred in 82 years.
Chairman Bhattarai expressed his commitment to focus on digital transformation including economic progress, long-term plan and innovative services of the company. He attributed the company’s continued progress to the trust of the shareholders, the support of the customers, the hard work of the agents and the dedication of the employees.
In the meeting, the shareholders expressed their confidence in the company and their expectations for the future. All the proposals presented in the assembly were passed unanimously. The company is committed to further refinement and refinement of service quality thereby ensuring safety in the lives of the customers.
Currently, Surya Jyoti Life has a paid-up capital of Rs. 501 crore, Life Insurance Fund of Rs. 4383 crore, Investment of Rs. 4845 crore, Net worth of Rs. 674 crore, 106 thousand agents, 3.5 million 87 thousand insurance policies and 176 branches across the country. In addition, the company is providing financial security up to Rs 5 million against 35 deadly diseases in Nepal.
