Kathmandu. Although the Nepal Insurance Authority (NIA) has warned the agents not to misuse social media and make misleading publicity about life insurance, the agents have not yet removed such misleading content from the social network.

Insurance News has found that the social media of the agents of the life insurance company is still spreading misleading content on social media, especially Facebook and Tiktok.

In particular, attempts have been made to deceive the general public by using misleading words and figures such as double income while investing in insurance, getting more returns than bank interest on lump sum fixed deposits, and getting discount on the insurance amount.

} After a series of news reports were published by Insurance Khabar on August 22 that the agent was running a fraudulent business by misusing social media by giving false information to the general public, the agent was warned not to mislead about any insurer.
