Although the rebuttal sent by Agent KC has been given space to the rebuttal, the agent has not stopped spreading the misleading propaganda } published by Insurance Khabar, still spreading the false publicity material on social media – Insurance Khabar We would like to clarify that there is no change in the facts of the news and our stance as the news has been prepared on the basis of the audio-visual materials and publicity materials available on the social media of the concerned agents.

Key points of Laxmi KC’s rebuttal:

“The agent has not stopped spreading misleading publicity on the news-oriented online insurancekhabar.com on August 30, but it has been accused that the fake publicity material is still being spread on social media in violation of the insurance code of conduct,” KC said. “We object to the attempt to defame our profession with the content of the news.” ’

She claimed that she had removed the publicity material from her social media platform after being informed that she had been banned from promoting it on various social media platforms. And she has screenshotted the publicity material done in the past and now she has responded to the accusations and baseless allegations.

He said, “As far as I understand, it is the principle of normal journalism that when any person is accused, the accused person should also respond. However, even when the news was published with our photographs, we have not received any response on the subject of the allegations. Therefore, the news is false, false and not factual, so we want to refute the contents of the news. ’

Response to Insurance News:

1) The claim that the insurance program was only used by social media is false, because there is a substantial amount of insurance promotional material on his social media ( Facebook page{, tic{} talk{ and YouTube channel {}.

2. Removed from their social media platforms: Misleading propaganda materials related to life insurance are still available for public consumption on their social media.

3. The allegations made by screenshotting the publicity material made in the past are baseless: The new version of the Agent Code of Conduct has been continuously circulated on the Facebook page, TikTok page and YouTube shorts of agent Laxmi KC with details such as free insurance, fixed deposit insurance, assured return amount even on the date of implementation of the new code of conduct from 10th Baisakh 2083.

4) Reaction of the accused person: It is not necessary to include personal reactions as the news includes ‘screen shots’ of the publicity materials available on the social networks of some representative characters (more than 12) agents about the general trend without targeting any particular person, and since these ‘screen shots’ and audio-visual and publicity materials have sufficient grounds to substantiate the allegations, it is not necessary to include personal reactions.

Apart from this, on the same day on September 22, 2083, the Nepal Insurance Authority (NEA) reminded the agents about the code of conduct 2083 and warned of action, Agent KC has circulated a video content from her Facebook and Tiktok pages with the caption {{TAG_CLOSE_em_36{TAG_OPEN_em_36}} ‘Parents’ insurance free while insuring children’.

Insurance Khabar has found and preserved sufficient audio-visual materials from his own agent KC’s social media (Facebook page , tic} talk{ and YouTube channel {{{TAG_CLOSE_a_38} including the Insurance Act, 2079, Insurance Rules 2081 and Insurance Agent Code of Conduct 2083.

Agent KC has violated the following points of the Code of Conduct of Insurance Agent Code 2083 through the publicity materials related to life insurance through social networks:

(a) Unhealthy competition and temptation: Agent KC has shown free insurance to the insured, no need to pay the remaining fees and illegal inducements that are not in the policy.

(c) Confidentiality and Honesty of Information: She has repeatedly disclosed sensitive information related to personal privacy (name and address, age, employment, sum insured and insurance premium) related to the personal confidentiality that she knows about the client.

(g) Violation of rates and conditions: She has publicized the terms and conditions of service of the insurance by specifying the terms and conditions not contained in the policy.
