Kathmandu. The Actuarial Society of Nepal (ACN) has organized an introductory training programme on International Accounting Standards (IFRS Seventeen) with an objective of enhancing the technical capacity of the human resources working in the insurance sector.
According to the organizing organization, 45 people including employees of insurance companies and other professionals participated in the training. Sajag Adhikari, an expert as the keynote speaker, gave a detailed and informative presentation on the outline of IFRS 17 and its practical implementation aspects in the Nepali insurance market.
Sudhan Poudel and Shraddha Nepal contributed as volunteers to conduct the program in a systematic manner.
The organizers have pledged to continue such programs in the coming days to strengthen actuarial skills within the insurance community of Nepal. The implementation of the new accounting system is expected to make Nepal’s insurance sector more transparent and international.
