Kathmandu. International Curriculum Association (ICA) has appointed Deepti Acharya, Founder Director of Sanskriti International School as its ambassador for the year 2025-2026.
ICA is a global organization supporting more than 1,000 schools in more than 90 countries. Acharya will now represent the organization in Nepal as well as neighbouring countries. This appointment recognizes his contributions to the field of progressive education over the past two decades.
During his tenure, Acharya is expected to expand and strengthen the network of teachers through various courses under ICA such as International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC), International Primary Curriculum (IPC) and International Middle Years Curriculum (IMYC).
Under his leadership, Sanskriti International School became the first school in South Asia to receive the prestigious IPC accreditation. As an ambassador, she will be responsible for mentoring, training and promoting the quality implementation of international curriculum to other schools.

The ICA Ambassador program selects only effective academic leaders. Acharya’s tenure is expected to contribute significantly to strengthening the network of international schools and promoting best teaching practices.
Deepti Acharya, a pioneer of progressive education in Nepal, is an AMI-trained Montessori teacher who holds a master’s degree in the subject from the United States.
Having been active as an international trainer for the past five years, Acharya is also a special leader at Toastmasters International. She is also a social activist advocating for the rights of women and children through Zonta Club of Kathmandu.
