Kathmandu: Himalayan Everest Insurance Limited has declared a dividend for the last financial year 2078-79. The dividends for the last FY were declared from the profits of the erstwhile Himalayan General Insurance Company.
The meeting of the board of directors(BODs) held on Paush 26, 2079 proposed to distribute 2.75% of the current paid-up capital from the profit of the last fiscal year 2078-79. The BODs also proposed an additional 0.14% cash dividend against tax purposes of the stock and cash dividends.
The proposed dividend will be proposed to the 29th annual general meeting(AGM) after approval from the regulatory body, Nepal Insurance Authority.
Himalayan Everest Insurance was formed after the merger between Himalayan General Insurance and Everest Insurance Company. The HEI initiated its integrated business from 1st Sawan 2079.
