Kathmandu: Shikhar Insurance Company has achieved a historic achievement in the last financial year 2078/79 with a growth of 26.19 percent growth in gross premium income. It has achieved Rs. 501 crore insurance premium income for the first time in the history of a non-life insurers in Nepal.
The company occupies about 15 percent of the market share of Nepal’s non-life insurance business. Out of a total of Rs. 22,768 claims, the company has paid 19,385 claims with a total amount of Rs. 300 crores. It has paid about 85 percent of the claims and has demonstrated excellent results in claim settlement ratio.
