Kathmandu: Siddhartha Insurance Company has earned net premium of Rs. 836.62 million till the end of the third quarter of current fiscal year. The company had earned net premium of Rs 741.749 million in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year. Compared to the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year, the company’s net premium income increased by 12.79 percent.
The company has earned a net profit of Rs. 173.4 million during the review period. The company had earned a net profit of Rs 170 million in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year. During this period, the company has earned Rs. 308.2 million from re-insurance commission.
During the period under review, the company has issued 147.17 million insurance policies and earned a total premium of over Rs. 2 billion. During this period, the company has paid Rs. 756 million claims out of 7 thousand 389 claims. The company has 8,761 unpaid claims of Rs 1.64 billion.
The current paid up capital of the company is Rs. 1.28 billion and the reserve fund is Rs. 253.934 million. Similarly, Rs. 1.94 billion has been accumulated in the insurance fund and Rs. 85.3 million in the catastrophe reserve fund.
The company’s earnings per share (annualized) is Rs.17.96 paise. Net worth per share is Rs. 211.32. The price-to-earnings ratio of the company is 45.06 and the total assets per share is Rs. 419.16.
