Kathmandu: Life insurance companies have earned a total premium of Rs. 81.30 billion in the first seven months of the current fiscal year. According to the Insurance Committee, these 19 life insurance companies have earned a total of Rs. 10.38 billion in Magh alone and Rs. 2.42 billion in first premiums.
According to the statistics of the Insurance Board, Nepal Life Insurance Company has been earning the highest total premium till this period. The company has earned a total premium of Rs. 21.08 billion during the period. LIC Nepal is in the second place. The company has earned a total premium of Rs. 9.75 billion in the first seven months of the current fiscal year.
Similarly, National Life contributed Rs. 7.89 billion, Rastriya Beema Sansthan contributed Rs. 6.42 billion, Union Life contributed Rs. 4.42 billion, Asian Life Insurance contributed Rs. 4.35 billion, Met Life contributed Rs. 3.9 billion and Citizen Life contributed Rs. 2.97 billion, Prime Life 2.96 billion, Surya Life 2.83 billion, Sun Nepal Life 2.39 billion and Reliable Nepal Life 2.26 billion.
Similarly, Jyoti Life contributed Rs. 1.96 billion, IME Life Rs. 1.90 billion, Gurans Life Rs. 1.86 billion, Reliance Life Rs. 1.68 billion, Sanima Life Rs. 1.33 billion and Prabhu Life Rs. 1.17 billion and Mahalakshmi Life has managed to earn a total insurance premium of Rs. 819.3 million.
