Kathmandu: The newly appointed chairman of Nepal Re-insurance Company Limited, Dr. Rabindra Ghimire, has instructed his officials to promptly release the pending claims of domestic insurance companies. He has directed the top management of Nepal Re company to pay the claims delivering hassle-free services.
He reminded his employees about the presence of a new re-insurer promoted by the private sector in the domestic market.
The Government of Nepal has ensured 20 percent business re-insurance in Nepal through retrocession for Nepal Re. If this company is not able to provide hassle-free and prompt services, then GoN may discontinue its favor.
On the other hand, if the Nepali insurance companies are not able to pay the claims on time, there is a fear of losing credibility in the abroad business too.
