Kathmandu: The Health Insurance Board has launched health insurance program in three local bodies of Lalitpur district. The board has launched health insurance program in Bagmati, Mahakal and Konjosom villages of Lalitpur district.
The board has already deployed registration assistants at all three levels. They have started getting health insurance since yesterday.
The program has been implemented in 76 districts across the country including Lalitpur. Out of 753 local levels, this program has been implemented in 739 local levels. Kathmandu is the only district left to implement this program. The Board is preparing to launch programs in Godavari Municipality, Mahalakshmi Municipality and Lalitpur Metropolitan City of Lalitpur. The board is also preparing to start health insurance program in Dakshinkali, Gokarneshwor and Kageshwari municipalities of Kathmandu district soon.
