Kathmandu: Beema Samiti will inspect the office of Himalayan Reinsurance to give final nod to its operation. A team of the regulatory authority will inspect the site tomorrow.The company has set up its head office in Baluwatar, Kathmandu.
During the onsite inspection, the team will inspect the company’s physical infrastructure and software. Final approval will also be given for starting the business by giving necessary suggestions during the inspection. The company had received reinsurance business license last month.
Based on a suggestion of a study team, Beema Samiti had decided to issue license for a new Reinsurance Company. The company has raised the required capital and completed all the preparations for the establishment of the office. Himalayan Re has hired three senior level employees including CEO from India.Their appointment must be approved by Beema Samiti.
