95.5% of households have access to telephone, 96.7% of households have access to electricity

Kathmandu. More than 95 percent of households in Nepal have access to telephone.

The National Statistics Office (NSO) released the Nepal Multi-Index Survey 2081 today. This is evident from 82 reports. According to the report, 95.5 percent of households have access to telephone.

According to the report, the highest number of households in Bagmati Province (97.1 per cent) and the lowest Sudurpaschim (92.6 per cent) households have access to telephone.

4 out of every 5 households (82 percent) have access to the internet. Among women aged 15-49, 81.6 percent and 90.4 percent of men own a mobile phone.

Similarly, 96.7 per cent households have access to uninterrupted source of electricity while Gandaki Province has the highest access to electricity (99.5 per cent) and Karnali (80.8 per cent) households have access to electricity.
