Kathmandu. Nepal Bar Association (NBA) is organizing the 32nd National Conference of Women Lawyers in Bhaktapur. The conference will be held on March 19 and 7 with the slogan ‘Proportional Inclusion of Women: Assured of a Changed and Just Society’.
The conference to be hosted by the Bhaktapur District Court Bar is expected to see the participation of women lawyers from all over the country.
President of Nepal Bar Association, Bhaktapur, Ram Sundar Khaitu, said that women lawyers from all over the country will participate in the conference. According to him, he urged all the lawyers associated with the Bar Association – senior advocates, advocates and former office-bearers and members of the Nepal Bar Association to actively participate in the conference.
The conference is expected to issue a declaration on women’s rights and “Proportional Inclusion of Women, Changed and Ensuring a Just Society” in Nepal, according to the Speaker.
Bar Secretary Anish Suwal said that all preparations for the program have been completed. According to him, preparations for the program to be held on March 6 and 7 have been completed. He also informed that the programme will be started by taking out a morning procession from Dattatraya Temple in Bhaktapur on the morning of 6. He informed that the Prabhat Pheri will be inaugurated by going to Khwopa Banquet Nagarkot Road via Dattatraya and on the second day, discussions will be held with subject experts on various issues at the assembly hall of Bhaktapur District Court.
The organizers have urged all those attending the conference to be present in dignified attire including black coats.
The conference is expected to discuss the role of women lawyers, their contribution to proportional inclusion and building a just society.
