Kathmandu: The 20th edition of International Conference on Inclusive Insurance(ICII) 2024 kicks off today at Hotel Yak and Yeti. The 5 day long conference will continue till 25 October 2024.
Experts from 50+ countries have participated in the conference. The experts will discuss and identify ways of accelerating growth and economic viability in inclusive insurance for emerging markets. The conference is hosted by the Nepal Insurance Association, Life Insurance Association Nepal, and the Nepal Insurance Authority in cooperation with Munich Re Foundation and the Microinsurance Network.
This is the first time that Nepal got the opportunity to host this event.
The first day of the event, Monday, will witness 4 session of workshop. The first workshop will be focused on Inclusive Insurance where as the second workshop will discuss on Pricing Health and Life Insurance Products-A practical Tool. The last workshop of day on will be focused on Landscape of Climate Risk Insurance Solution for MSMEs in V20 Countries.

According to MunichRe Foundation, the conference will feature around 80 speakers in over 20 sessions on key topics addressing an interdisciplinary audience. Keynote speeches will look at the latest international, national and local insights.
Representatives from insurance and reinsurance companies, brokers, distribution channels, technology providers, investment funds, international organizations, NGOs and development aid agencies, as well as academics, policy makers and insurance supervisors, from 50+ countries will attend the conference. Delegates will exchange views on current growth trends and risks in emerging markets and discuss key factors for successful implementation and maximized business opportunities to bring supply and demand to the next level.
