Kathmandu: The meeting of the Board of Directors of Prabhu Mahalaxmi Life Insurance has elected Shiksha Bhattachan as the Chairman of the BODs. The meeting of the BODs was held on Monday at 5:30 pm.
There has been a change in the directors selected by the Merger Committee. On behalf of Prabhu Life, Susan Bhattachan along with Shiksha Bhatchan were elected from the promoters’ group, while Suresh Sapkota and Umesh Lal Shrestha were unanimously elected on behalf of Mahalakshmi Life. Prabhu Mahalaxmi Life Insurance has emerged with the merger of Prabhu Life and Mahalaxmi Life Insurance.
Except for the promoter group, Shankar Gautam and Jyoti Sherchan are representing the public shareholders in the BODs.The company has yet to appoint an independent director. The two companies started the integrated business on Asar 29, 2080.
