Kathmandu: The employees of Himalayan Life Insurance Company have filed a complaint with the Nepal Insurance Authority demanding payment against the voluntary retirement scheme(VRS). According to the Insurance Authority, over 50 employees have filed complaints for not receiving the payment.
Himalayan Life Insurance is formed following the merger of Gurans Life, Union Life, and Prime Life Insurance. Prior to the merger, these three companies had announced VRS and together the application of 134 employees was accepted by these companies.
Chief Executive Officer of the company Manoj Kumarlal Karna has informed us that the process of VRS is still ongoing. He said, “There has been a delay in the process amid the integration of employees’ professional information is still under process. After the completion of the pending task, we will settle the due payment.”
