Kathmandu: General insurance companies earned NPR 32.5 billion in total insurance premiums in the first ten months of the current fiscal year 2079-80. According to the data published by the Nepal Insurance Authority, 16 non-life insurance companies earned a total insurance premiums of NPR 32.68 billion which is only 4.78 percent excess than the same period of the last FY 2078-79.
Shikhar Insurance remained in the top position with NPR 4.42 billion in total insurance premiums. Sagarmatha Lumbini earned NPR 3.73 billion in total premiums by the end of the first ten months of the current FY. Similarly, Siddharth Premier Insurance earned a total insurance fee of NP 3.64 billion.
During this period, IME Prudential has earned NPR 2.7 billion, Himalayan Everest NPR 2.49 billion, Neco NPR 2.45 billion, and state-owned general insurer, Rastriya Beema Company NPR 2.2 billion in total insurance premiums. National Insurance Company earned the lowest NPR 824.2 million total insurance premium during the reporting period.
