Kathmandu: Nepal Insurance Authority is all set to organize Asia Insurance Meet 2023 from June 8-10, 2023 in Kathmandu. The Authority is hopeful that the conference will help insurers to explore the changing landscape to understand emerging risks, understand the techniques to identify, assess and mitigate emerging risks and develop appropriate strategies and build technical capabilities to minimize the impact of emerging risks.
This event brings together insurance supervisors from the Asian region along with insurers, reinsurers, brokerage firms, and other stakeholders from around the world to discuss the challenges and opportunities that lay ahead for the insurance industry.
Surya Prasad Silwal, Chairman of the Authority, commented, ‘I believe that building resilience in the insurance industry requires a comprehensive approach that involves collaboration and coordination between regulators, industry players, and other stakeholders. Hence, we must continue to collaborate and exchange ideas to identify emerging risks and develop effective strategies to manage and mitigate them.’
Asian Development Bank, the International Association of Insurance Supervisors, the Access to Insurance Initiative, and Asia Insurance Review are the organizing partners for the conference.
