Kathmandu: Nepal Insurance Authority has approved the decision of the board of directors of Sagarmatha Lumbini Insurance to appoint Chunky Chhetri as the Chief Executive Officer. The newly formed BODs after the merger between Sagarmatha Insurance and Lumbini General Insurance decided to appoint Chhetri, the former CEO of Sagarmatha Insurance Company, as the CEO of Sagarmath Lumbini.
Chunky Chhetri continues the job of CEO with a new annual package of 12 million. Additionally, he will receive performance-based incentives and bonuses too.
Prior to this appointment, Chhetri was the CEO of Sagarmatha Insurance Company. Chhetri is also the president of the Nepal Insurers’ Association, an umbrella organization of general insurers.
In another corporate affair, Birendra Baidwar Chhetri has been appointed as the CEO of Siddhartha Premier Insurance. He was the CEO of former Siddhartha Insurance. The newly formed BODs of Siddhartha Premier Insurance has appointed him for a tenure of four years to be effective from Falgun 17, 2079.
