IME General’s Shareholders to Receive 6 percent Stock Dividends for FY7879

Kathmandu: The 25th annual general meeting(AGM) of IME General Insurance Company has endorsed the proposed stock dividends of 6.31 for FY 2078-79. The AGM was held today at Hotel Himalaya Lazimpat, Kathmandu.

The shareholders will receive 6 percent stock dividends of current paid-up capital and the remaining 0.31 percent dividend will be in cash for the capital gain tax purpose on stock and cash dividends.

The AGM  discussed and passed the annual report for the financial year 2078-79. Similarly, the annual report, balance sheet, profit and loss, accounting, etc., including the auditor’s report for the financial year 20780-79 have been passed. The Assembly passed a resolution to appoint an auditor for the financial year 2079-80 and to fix the remuneration, to amend the company’s article of association and memorandum of association as per the instructions of the Nepal Insurance Authority.

Chairman Hemraj Dhakal informed the meeting about the progress of the corporate building construction. The 11-storey corporate building including 2-storey parking area of about 60,000 sq is under construction at Panipokhari, Kathmandu. Chairman Dhakal informed that house that the corporate building will earn Rs. 50 million annually from renting the property.
