Kathmandu: The former chief executive officer of United Insurance Company, Upasana Poudel, received Rs. 51,63,555 against her salary, allowances, and other benefits for the last financial year 2078-79. According to the annual audit report of the company, Poudel was paid that amount for her role as the CEO of the company.
Poudel, the first CEO female in the Nepalese insurance industry served for one and a half years in United Insurance though against her contract period of four years. She has joined Himalayan Reinsurance as deputy chief executive officer since Mangsir 2079.
In the last financial year, United Insurance paid Rs. 1.2 million meeting allowance to the members of the board of directors(BODs). Similarly, 1 crore 75 lakh rupees have been paid to the high-level management official.
