Kathmandu: The Insurance Institute of Nepal(IIN) has announced the right share issue with a 1:3 ratio. IIN has emphasized the paid-up capital increment to expand its service. It has a paid-up capital of Rs. 5 crores. After the full subscription of the proposed right shares, the paid-up capital will be 20 crores.
Chief executive officer Bhojraj Sharma informed us that preparations are underway to run a postgraduate degree academic program for Insurance. IIN has already received affiliation for Pokhara University for the program. The organization plans to construct its own academic building at Chabhel, Kathmandu. As a wing of the Nepal Insurance Authority, IIN has opted to construct the academic building on the land owned by the Authority in Chabhel.
IIN has announced its fourth annual general meeting(AGM) to be held on 22nd Paush 2079. The BODs of the organization have proposed amendments in clause 4(1) of the Article of Association to expand its objectives of the operation.
The aim is to conduct professional training on insurance risk management and social security under prevailing laws. Similarly, it is going to conduct the insurance licensureship, associateship, fellowship, and professional courses related to insurance, prepare educational courses, and conduct examinations.
