Kathmandu: Bonus shares of Asian Life Insurance Company Limited (ALICL) have been listed in Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Monday. According to the press note issued by the NEPSE, a total of 3,682,761 bonus shares of the company were listed.
The company had distributed 14.50 percent bonus shares to the shareholders from the profit of the financial year 2077-78. Now the shareholders of the company can trade their share once its credited to their demat account by the share manager of ALICL, NIBL Ace Capital.
The top level management and the Board of Directors of the Company is under pressure to meet the minimum paid-up capital requirement within Chaitra end of 2079. Now, the company has possibilities to distribute additional stock dividends from the profits for financial year 2078-79.
The Nepal Insurance Authority has set deadline for the life insurers to maintain minimum of Rs. 5 billion paid-up capital.
