Nepal Life Pays Rs. 54.76 billion Against Claim in 22 Years

Kathmandu: Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited(NLIC) has paid a total of Rs. 54.76 billion net claims since its establishment. According to the claim payment statement issued by the company, the amount includes the claim paid till the first quarter of current fiscal year 2079-80.

According to the company, Rs.15.26 billion has bee paid against maturity claim and Rs. 5.3 billion against death claims. Similarly, it has paid Rs. 18.53 billion under periodic and partial claims.

It has paid Rs. 15.94 billion in claims under insurance premium waiver, permanent total disability (PTD) claim, critical illness benefit and accidental death benefit. NLIC is the largest life insurance company in terms of market share, paid-up capital, insurance fund and investment.
