Surya Life Improves Net Premium Income by 13.31 pc in Q1

Kathmandu: Surya Life Insurance (SLICL) has earned Rs.1 billon 26 crore 49 lakh net premium in the Q1 of the current financial year 2079-80. It has been able to expand the size of premium income by 13.31 percent as compared to the same period of last FY 2078-79.

The company has earned Rs. 28 crore 57 lakh million 96 thousand from investment and loans and other income and Rs. 5 crore 30 lakh from interest income of policy loan. It has disbursed a total of Rs.2 billion 7 crore 52 lakh loan against the surrender value to it’s policyholders.

Surya Life has been able to increase its net profit by 82.54 percent to Rs. 20 crore 73 lakh in the Q1. It’s net profit of Q1 of last FY was Rs.11 crore 35 lakh only.

The company has a total of Rs. 71 crore 22 lakh in it’s reserve fund and Rs.14.92 billion in life fund. During the Q1,, the company’s EPS remained Rs. 32.52, net worth per share is Rs.126.22 and the PE ratio is 11.90 times.
