Kathmandu: Thirteen candidates have submitted application for the designation of Deputy Chief Executive Officer of United Insurance Company. According to the sources, Vishnu Prasad Subedi, Kailash Devkota, Prabhusharan Woli, Harihar Man Singh Basnet, Niraj Basnet, Murahari Prasad Lamsal, Ramesh Kumar Bhattarai, Vinod Kaspal, Pravin Sapkota, Bipin Pokharel, Rohit Regmi, Surendra Thapa and Vidyanath Prasad Upadhyay have applied for this vacant post.
The company is appointing general managers and departmental heads through open competition. Some of the applicants are employees of the company and some others are experienced professionals in the insurance industry.
What’s Update on CEO Paudel’s resignation?
Upasana Paudel, the CEO of the company had submitted her resignation in the first week of Ashoj 2079 following the possible merger process with NLG Insurance and Neco Insurance. But her resignation has not been accepted by the Board of Directors of the company. She continues to serve her duty for the company.
United Insurance Company has almost no record of full term serving CEO and long term serving general managers. It has been criticized that the unwanted interruption of the BODs in the operational activities creates chaos in among employees.
