Kathmandu: Finance Minister Janardhan Sharma has laid the foundation stone of the Insurance Board’s proposed building.
The proposed new multistoried building is being constructed at the premise of the IBs office at Kupondole. The building is being constructed at a cost of Rs. 473.7 million. The premise includes 10 ropanis of land. The building will have seven floors and will have an international level seminar hall for up to 120 participants, a separate meeting room with a capacity of 40 people, board room, underground parking for about 80 vehicles and a fireplace with a capacity of up to 112 people. The IB has stated that the construction work of the building is aimed to be accomplished within 30 months from the date of commencement of construction.
