Met Life improves insurance premium income by 11 percent

Kathmandu. Met Life (American Life Insurance) has improved its net insurance premium income by 11.54 percent in the Q1 of the current Fiscal Year 2078/79. The company has earned Rs. 1.30 billion in insurance premiums while it was Rs. 1.16 billion during the same period of last fiscal year 2077/78.

Similarly, the company’s profit has declined by 10.57 percent to Rs. 67.5 million.
The company’s claim payments also increased by 19.83 percent to Rs. 1.5 billion in just three months. The company had paid Rs. 882 million in the same period last fiscal year.

The agents of the company have received a commission of Rs. 125.1 million while it was Rs. 115.5 million in the same period last year.

The company has accumulated Rs. 2.74 billion in the reserve fund. Similarly, the life insurance fund has also increased by 7.57 percent to Rs. 19.74 billion this year.
