Surya Life’s insurance premium income increased by 33 percent

Kathmandu: Surya Life Insurance Company Limited has succeeded in making significant improvements in most of the financial indicator. In the first quarter of the current Fiscal Year 2078/79, it has earned Rs. 1.11 billion net insurance premium with the growth of 33 percent.

Surya Life has achieved a expanded its profit by 11.88 percent and earned Rs 113.5 million. Its earnings per share(EPS) has reached to Rs. 20.
The company has strengthened its life insurance fund. The fund is above Rs.11.51 billion while it was Rs. 8 billion a year ago in the corresponding period. The company has made a long-term investment of Rs 8.65 billion out of the fund. Similarly, the insured has taken a loan of Rs. 1.24 billion by pledging policy bond.

The agents have received a commission of Rs. 135.6 million during this period. Its net claim payment is Rs. 190 million while the unpaid claim remaind Rs. 55.1 million.
