Kathmandu: From now on, customers of Bhatbhateni Supermarket can make payment through QR code scan. The service has been commenced from Tangal located main branch of Bhatbhateni Supermarket.
Earlier, consumers had to pay only through cash or card, but now consumers can pay from their mobile banking apps’ QR code scan option too.
Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank Maha Prasad Adhikari inaugurated the QR code at Bhatbhateni Super Market in Tangal on Thursday.
Customers can make payments while making purchases using the QR Code scan feature of any bank’s mobile banking app or E-Sewa mobile apps.
Chairman of Bhatbhateni Supermarket, Min Bahadur Gurung said that there is a plan to make 75 percent of the total transaction from QR within two years by promoting cashless payment.
