Kathmandu: Despite the provisioning of future bonus, Surya Life Insurance has managed to keep the bonus rate stable for second consecutive year. The company has set a minimum bonus rate of Rs 38 to a maximum of Rs 73 for FY 2076/77. The same bonus rate will prevail until a new bonus rate is approved by the Insurance Board.
Money Back Endowment Plan:
In this insurance policy, the company has announced a minimum bonus rate of Rs. 45 per thousand to a maximum of Rs. 63. The company’s insurance policy has fixed Rs. 45 per thousand for a period of 10 to 14 years. The bonus rate has been fixed at Rs. 45 per thousand for a period of 15 to 19 years, Rs. 55 per thousand for a period of 20 to 24 years and Rs. 63 per thousand for a period of 25 to 29 years under the same policy.
The company has sold 6,953 insurance policies for a period of 15 to 19 years which offers Rs. 45 per year per thousand on Sum Assured.
Endowment Plan:
The company has set a minimum bonus rate of Rs. 38 to Rs. 73 for endowment life insurance. Rs 38 per thousand for a period of 9 years, Rs. 43 per thousand for a period of 10 to 14 years, Rs. 48 for a period of 15 to 19 years, Rs. 58 for a period of 20 to 24 years, Rs. 63 for a period of 15 to 29 years and Rs. 73 for 30 years or above.
The company has sold 61,150 insurance policies for a period of 15 to 19 years. During this period, the insured will receive a bonus of Rs. 48 per thousand.
Endowment and Whole-life Plan:
The company has set a minimum bonus rate of Rs 38 to Rs 73 for Endowment and Whole Life Plan. Rs 38 per thousand for a period of 9 years, Rs. 43 per thousand for a period of 10 to 14 years, Rs. 48 for a period of 15 to 19 years, Rs. 58 for a period of 20 to 24 years and Rs. 63 for a period of 25 to 29 years and 30 years or above Rs. 73 per thousand have been offered as policy bonus rate.
