Kathmandu. Nepal Rastra Bank has published a notice for the issue of treasury bill of Rs.11.20 billion. The treasury bill is issued to raise short-term loan for the Government of Nepal. The treasury bills are issued for a period of 91 to 364 days.
As per the notice published by NRB, treasury bills of Rs. 200 million for a period of 91 days, Rs. 5 billion for a period of 182 days and Rs. 6 billion for a period of 364 days are about to be issued. The weighted interest rate ranged from 4.95 to 4.97 on September 10. In Ashoj 2078 alone, NRB has raised Rs. 32.35 billion short term internal loan through treasury bills.
Treasury bills will be auctioned online. NRB will issue treasury bills to the person or bank or institution who pledge the highest discount rate.
