Investment Bank announces new FD scheme

Kathmandu: Nepal Investment Bank has introduced a fixed deposit scheme that will double in eight years.

The bank has announced a fixed deposit scheme to double the amount deposited by its non institutional customer.The bank offers compound interest at the rate of 9.051 per cent p.a.

Banks and financial institutions have announced double digit interest rates on fixed saving deposits to attract deposits after the central bank Nepal Rastra Bank(NBN) introduced a new provision in the calculation of credit-to-deposit ratio.

Banks and Financial Institutions are under pressure to maintain their CD ratio within the limit of 90 percent which excludes the funds generated from the paid up capital.
