Kathmandu: According to a research conducted by the Swiss Re Institute, a research institute under the global reinsurance company Swiss Re, online personal property and casualty insurance in South Asia and Southeast Asia is estimated to reach USD 7.5 billion (NPR 904 billion) in the next five years.
Swiss Re Institute has published the results of a survey on the desire to buy personal property and casualty insurance (home, personal accident and employment) through digital platform in South and Southeast Asia.
The research, conducted for the first time, surveyed among 5,600 people from selected countries of South and Southeast Asia, who were interested in using digital platform to buy personal property insurance. According to Swiss Re Institute,the survey was conducted in India, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam.
