Premium Income of Non-life Insurers declines by 14pc during Second month of current FY

Kathmandu: Non-life insurance industry has collected Rs. 6.38 billion total insurance premiums in the first two months of current fiscal year 2078/79(2021-22).

In Bhadra(mid September to mid August)  alone, they have earned Rs. 2.96 billion  insurance premiums. The premium income of Non-life insurance companies has declined as compared to the previous month. On Sawan(mid July to mid September), non-life insurance companies had earned Rs. 3.46 billion insurance premiums.

Shikhar Insurance Company has earned the highest premium of Rs. 680 million during first two months. In Bhadra alone, it has earned Rs. 360 million insurance premium. Similarly, Sagarmatha Insurance is the second highest earner of insurance premiums. Sagarmatha has earned Rs. 580 million in two months.
