Kathmandu: Veteran reinsurance professional Mr. Chandrasekaran Ramamurthy has been appointed as CEO of Himalayan Reinsurance Company.
He has more than four decades long experience in Indian domestic and International insurance and reinsurance industry, UK, and Middle East.
Mr. Ramamurthy has worked with the Insurance Development and Regulatory Authority of India (IRDAI) as a member of Expert groups for the review and amendment of insurance and reinsurance regulations.
Prior to joining Himalayan Re, he has been working as Director of RCS Managing Consultant Pvt. Ltd. RCS provides consultancy services for insurance and reinsurance companies for reinsurance efficacy and risk management.
His career in insurance started as a manager of Aviation Insurance and Reinsurance management back in 1995 AD.
He is well-known for Insurance and Reinsurance strategy management and Enterprise Risk Management solutions for Insurance and Reinsurance companies.
Himalayan Re is the first private sector promoted reinsurance company of Nepal.
