Death Claim of 18.41 million paid by Asian Life Insurance

Kathmandu: Asian Life Insurance Company has paid a death claim of Rs.18.41 million to the family member of deceased Gakul Mahara.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company, Mr. Deepak Kumar Shrestha, handed over the cheque to the wife of the deceased, Mrs. Nirmala Bista, at the company’s corporate office on Wednesday. The cheque was handed over in the presence of the BOD members Mrs. Sajal Maskey, Mr. Achyut Raj Sapkota, CEO Mr. Dinesh Lal Shrestha, DCEO Mr. Hom Bahadur Shrestha and others.

Expressing the view that life insurance would be of great help to the dependent family of the insured in difficult circumstances, Chairman Shrestha said that Asian Life Insurance is always committed to provide fast services and claim to the insured.

Late Mahara had insured Asian Life Insurance Company with an Annual Money Back plan of Rs. 75 lakh, Joint Life Plan of Rs. 25 lakh and 15 years Money Back endowment plan of Rs. 6 lakh Sum Assured respectively. Accidental death benefit and bonus amount of Rs. 18 million 414 thousand and 5 hundred 58 rupees has been paid out of the total SA of Rs. 10.6 million.

Late Mahara had paid total premium of Rupees fifteen lakh three thousand and eight hundred thirty nine.  Mahara, who had a permanent home in Melamchi Ward No. 10 of Sindhupalchowk, died at the age of 33 on 15 May 2021 due to Covid19 infection.
