2.74bn First Premium Collected by Life Insurers

Kathmandu: Life insurance companies have earned over Rs. 2 billion in premiums in the fiscal year 2077/78 alone.  According to the Insurance Board, 19 life insurance companies have managed to collect the first premium of Rs.2.74 billion in Sawan 2078.

According to the statistics of the IB, Nepal Life Insurance Company is among the companies earning the first premium in the month of July of the Fiscal Year 2077/78.  The company has managed to earn the first premium of Rs.580 million in Sawan.

The second is National Life Insurance Company.  The company has managed to earn Rs. 250 million in premiums during the period.  The third is Prabhu Life Insurance Company.  The company has managed to earn the first premium of Rs. 230 million during this period.  Similarly, Union Life Insurance Company has earned the first premium of Rs.190 million.

Similarly, Citizen Life Insurance Company and Reliable Nepal Life have earned the first premium of Rs. 180 million each.  IME Life has earned the first premium of Rs. 140 million.Asian Life and Met Life Insurance Company have earned the first premium of Rs.130 million each.  During this period, Surya Life and Jyoti Life have earned the first insurance fee of Rs. 11 million each.

 

According to the committee, Reliance Life earned Rs. 90 million, LIC Nepal Rs. 80 million, Sun Nepal Life Rs 80. million and Mahalakshmi Life Rs.60 million in Sawan the current fiscal year.

Similarly, in the first month of the current fiscal year, Rastriya Bima Sansthan, Prime Life, Gurans Life and Sanima Life Insurance Companies have earned Rs.50 million each.
