Kathmandu:Tribhuvan University School of Mathematical Sciences, Balkhu has started teaching Data Science at postgraduate level from current year. Known as the best course in data science, this course has been offered for the first time in Nepal. After completing this course, the data analysis manpower will be produced in Nepal.
The university claims that those who can easily find the trend by analyzing the data of the stock market including insurance companies can easily find a job abroad. As technical manpower, they will gain foreign exchange to strengthen the country’s economic position.
In order to study this subject, one has to have at least 15 years of formal education from Tribhuvan University or an accredited educational institution and pass CGPA 2 or 2nd class at the undergraduate level. Must have passed BA or BSC with Math or Statistics. Must have BE or BIT or BCE or similar degree.
