Kathmandu: The third AGM of General Insurance Company has been concluded with the election of two new board members. The meeting was held at the company’s central office in Hattisar, Kathmandu.
The AGM has elected Mr. Amrit Banjade and Mrs. Saraswati Gautam (Gyawali) as BOD representing the public shareholders.
The annual report of the company for the FY 2076/77 presented by the chairman on behalf of the BODs has been discussed and passed in the meeting. Similarly, the report of the auditor has been passed after discussing the details related to the balance sheet, profit and loss and cash flow up to mid-July including the Fiscal Year 2076/77 (NFRS).
Similarly, for the audit of the Fiscal Year 2077/78, the agenda of appointing the auditor and fixing his / her remuneration has been passed. The AGM has passed a proposal to approve the amount contributed to the Covid19 fund.
The company has earned a total of Rs.631.4 million premium while paid Rs. 271.6 million against claim. The unsettled claim is of worth Rs. 200 million. The company has stated that the payment of Covid19 insurance claim has reached Rs.156.3 million.
