Kathmandu: The Insurance companies will be allowed to operate their branch offices inside Kathmandu valley twice a week.
The joint meeting of CDOs concluded today has made decision to relax the ongoing prohibitory order amid Covid19 pandemic.
Earlier, a joint meeting held on June 3 had decided to extend the curfew till June 12.The meeting has extended the order for 7 more days.
CDO of Lalitpur, Mr. Dhundi Prasad Niraula, has informed that it has been decided to open food shops and book shops till 11 am. It has been decided to allow financial institutions, cooperatives, insurance companies and remittance service providers to open two days a week on Sunday and Thursday, said Niraula.
In addition, it has been decided to operate the means of transporting construction materials from 9 pm to 5 am.
The Ministry of Health had suggested not to lift the prohibitory order completely as the risk of Covid19 was still there. Covid19 tests positive results are still above 19 percent. If only 2 out of 100 people show corona infection, it can be taken as normal, the ministry said.
