Three Non-Life Insurer’s AGM being held today

Kathmandu: The annual general meetings(AGM) of three companies are being held today. The AGM of Himalayan General Insurance Company Limited(HGI), Lumbini General Insurance Company Limited(LGI) and Siddhartha Insurance Company Limited(SIL) is being held today.

The 27th AGM of HGI will be held at the company’s central office, Thapagaun, Kathmandu at 11 am through virtual medium. The meeting will approve the proposal to distribute 3.75 percent cash dividend and 3 percent bonus shares to the shareholders of the company from the last fiscal year’s profit. Similarly, the annual report of the board of directors, audit report along with the balance sheet, profit and loss account and cash flow statement of the same period will be discussed and will be approved in the meeting.

The company’s book-closing date was on May 27 for the purpose of AGM and dividend distribution. Therefore, only the shareholders who have been trading in Nepse till May 26 will be able to participate in the meeting and receive dividends.

LGI’s 16th AGM will start today at 4 pm through virtual media. The meeting will pass a resolution to distribute a total of 10 percent dividend to the shareholders from the profits of the Fiscal Year 2076/77, it includes 5 percent bonus share and 5 percent cash dividend. Similarly, the annual report of the board of directors, auditor’s report along with profit and loss report, cash flow statement and profit and loss account, meeting allowance review of the director and cash flow statement will be discussed and passed in the meeting. An auditor will be appointed for the audit of the Fiscal Year 2077/78 and his/her remuneration will be fixed. The company has closed the book for one day on May 28 for the purpose of AGM and dividend distribution. Therefore, only the existing shareholders will be able to participate in the meeting and receive dividends till May 27.

Similarly, the 19th AGM of SIL will start at 11 am today at Siddhartha Insurance Bhawan, Baber Mahal, Kathmandu. The meeting will approve the distribution of 15.7894 percent dividend from the profit of the last FY  as proposed by the BOD. Of this, 3.7894 percent is cash dividend (including dividend tax) and 12 percent is bonus share. The company has closed the book for the purpose of dividend and AGM from May 28 to June 11,2021. Therefore, only the existing shareholders will be able to receive the dividend of this company and participate in the AGM.
