Strike in Insurance Service is prohibited

Kathmandu. The Government has prohibited strikes in insurance services. The home ministry has issued an order based on the authority given by sub-section 1 of section 3 of the Essential Services Operation Act, 2014.

The order has been issued prohibiting strikes in 25 essential services. Strikes and disruptions in the areas of postal, wire or telephone services, transport services for transporting passengers or goods by land or air, services related to the maintenance, operation or maintenance of aircraft or aircraft. Similarly strike in the banking and financial services and internet services are also prohibited by the home ministry.
