Rs.7.5 billion allocated for Health Insurance Scheme

Kathmandu: Government of Nepal plans to expand health insurance program.

Government aims to bring 50 per cent of the total population under the health insurance coverage. The capacity of the Insurance Health Board will be enhanced to achieve the target.

Finance minister Mr. Bishnu Paudel today unveiled that, to ensure long lasting health insurance scheme financial arrangements will be made.

As per the budget statement of FY 2078/79 made public today Rupees 7.5 billion has been allocated to health insurance program.
