Non-life insurers witness 8 percent increase in net claim payment

Kathmandu: The total claim of general insurance companies has witnessed increase in the 3rd quarter of Financial Year 2077/78. The average increase in claim paid was of 8 per cent. While 9 insurers have witnessed decline in their claim payment.

Till the 3rd quarter, the insurers have paid Rupees 4 billion 72.84 million to their client. On last FY, it was 4 billion 37.84 million during in the 3rd quarter.

Shikhar Insurance Co. has made the payment of Rupees 64.02 millions which is the highest in the industry till 3rd quarter. It’s gross claim declined by 1.91 percent only. SIC had paid Rupees 65.25 millions on last year till 3rd quarter.

Sagarmatha Insurance Company takes the second position in gross claim payment. It has witnessed 23 per cent increment in it’s gross claim payment. It has paid 53.05 millions till 3rd  quarter of current FY.

Neco Insurance, occupying the third place, has paid Rupees 45.05 millions till third quarter which is 17 percent higher in comparison to last FY 3rd quarter.
