180,000 Visitors Attend Naima Expo

Kathmandu. NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026 has concluded. The NIMA Expo, which was formally inaugurated on August 9, concluded today with an enthusiastic presence of more than 180,000 visitors.

More than 30,000 visitors visited the fair on the concluding day of the fair organized by Nepal Automobiles Importers and Manufacturers Association (NAIMA). Similarly, 29,000 visitors had visited the site on the opening day of the expo on August 12, 26,000 on the second day, 22,000 on the third day, 31,000 on the fourth day and 42,000 on the fifth day on Saturday. NIMA had expected 1.5 lakh visitors in 6 days.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Ritu Singh Vaidya, chairperson of the expo, said that the participation of more than 55 brands, more than 180,000 visitors and the launch of 53 new products were the biggest achievements of the expo.

“This expo is not only the success of any individual or organization, but the collective success of the entire mobility industry in Nepal, I would like to thank all the participants from the bottom of my heart,” she said, adding, “We had given priority to knowledge and learning along with the exhibition of new vehicles and technology. ‘

She said that more than 180,000 people have come to the expo which is the biggest excitement and encouragement for a young organization like NAIMA. “This is not the end, it’s the beginning,” she said, adding, “Our goal is to move forward bigger, better and stronger in the coming days.” ‘

“It is a good sign that such a large number of people have come to NAIMA Expo,” said Cabinet Shrestha, a board member of NAIMA. “NAIMA Expo has been successful in every way,” he said, adding, “It is a matter of happiness for the auto industry.” ‘

Gaurav Sharda, chairman of the Auto Show Planning Committee, said that the fair was more successful than expected. “More visitors than we had expected, more visitors than expected, better enquiries than expected and better bookings than expected, we are very excited,” he said. ‘

Similarly, Akash Golchha, president of NAIMA’s Strategy and Membership Affairs Committee, said that the fair was a super hit. “One word to describe the Naima Expo is a superhit,” he said.

Mr. Raj Kumar Dulal, Executive Director of NIIMA, said that the definition of an expo has been conceptually refined focusing on extensive exhibitions, learning sessions, greater collaboration and demand driven management. “The satisfaction shown by the visitors is the measure of NIMA Expo’s success,” he said.

On the concluding day, the topic of Importing Talent, Exporting Workers: Bridging Nepal’s Education, Skills and Entrepreneurship Gap was discussed in the Naima Mobility Dialogue. Member of House of Representatives, Bidushi Rana, Board Member of NIMA and Chairman of Padma Jyoti Group, Saurabh Jyoti, Assistant Professor of Padma Kanya Campus Bhagawati Sedai and Assistant Professor of Thapathali Engineering Campus Lochan Kendra Devkota participated in the dialogue as panelists and facilitated by journalist Sanjay Silwal Gupta.

On Saturday, there was a discussion on AI and Automotive Technology: Driving the Future of Mobility and on Friday on Technical: Battery Recycle and Ethanol Blending in Fuel. Similarly, on Thursday, discussions and interactions were held on the topic of Mobilizing Mobility through Finance & Insurance. In Wednesday’s learning sessions, there was a discussion and interaction on ‘Mobility: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow’, while on the first day of the expo, there was a discussion on ‘Investment and Foreign Direct Investment (FDI): Mobilizing-Fuel for Economic Growth’.

The expo aims to promote sustainable, green and technology-friendly transportation system in Nepal. Domestic and multinational vehicle manufacturers and importers participated in the expo.
