Kathmandu. The Department of Money Laundering Investigation has given a 15-day ultimatum to the promoter shareholders of Himalayan Reinsurance Company and seven micro-insurance companies to submit their share transaction details.
The department issued such an ultimatum by issuing a notice today. The promoter shareholders of Himalayan Reinsurance, Nepal Micro Insurance, Guardian Micro Life, Crest Micro Life, Liberty Micro Life, Protective Insurance, Star Micro Insurance and Trust Micro Insurance are among the promoters who have been asked to submit their share details.
According to the department, the details are required for the purpose of study in course of necessary research on the purchase of promoter shares.
The department has urged the investors to submit the details of the amount paid to the bank accounts of various individuals and institutions in addition to the premium paid by the promoter shares at the time of obtaining permission from the Insurance Authority.
