Kathmandu. The United States has banned the DV lottery program.
U.S. Homer Kirsty Noem said the DV lottery program has been temporarily suspended. In the aftermath of the shooting at Brown University, Noem said she was at the direction of US President Donald Trump to temporarily suspend the DV lottery.
It has been revealed that the person involved in the shooting entered the US 8 years ago through the DV lottery program. At the behest of President Trump, the DV program has been banned.
Home Minister Noem also shared the news in a post on her X account. “Such criminals should not have been allowed into our country,” she wrote.
